Little John Nee
Little John Nee is a writer and performer based in the west of Ireland. He is a prolific creator of work for theatre; he has developed a style of storytelling theatre with music that has won him international recognition; a nomination for a Helen Hayes Award in Washington DC.
and a Special Mention Award at the Prix Italia 2013 for the RTE radio adaptation of his play “Sparkplug”; he won an Irish Times Theatre Award for his sound design for the stage version. He has recorded an album with The Caledonia Highly Strung Orchestra, An Grianán Theatre has published “A Donegal Trilogy” of plays, and he has published a book of haiku “The apocalypse came on a Friday”. He was elected to Aosdána in 2016.
His most recent show “Tea Dance” premiered at the Earagail Arts Festival in 2018.
